群馬県立近代美術館の所蔵品である近代絵画のコレクションを「触る」を糸口に鑑賞するためのキット。
学校見学で子供達が美術館を訪れる時の鑑賞のはじまりの教材としてデザインされた。所蔵品の絵画に赤を使って描かれるモチーフをリサーチし、それを元に２０種類のピースをデザイン。漆、陶、布は、工芸家とのコラボレーションので「その素材や技巧で表現される赤」をテーマにデザインを決めて絵画のモチーフと重ねていった。
It is a kit to see the modern art paintings in the museum’s permanent collection. It is designed for introduction of the museum visit for students. The theme of the tactile collection is ‘ colour’ and we choose red as 1st colour of the collection. Designed 20 pieces of ‘red’ tactile pieces based on the research of what red described in paintings in the collection. 3 pieces, Japanese lacquer, ceramic and textile are collaboration with craft people, starting the question ‘What is red in your technique and material?’.
